Desktops
These Instructions are for use with Internet Explorer. By following them, these photos should work on any computer monitor screen size.
Firefox is a little different, but start with these Instructions, and you'll be able to figure it out as you go.)
What's the difference between Larger and Smaller photos? The larger photo better fits a higher resolution screen; the smaller photo a lower resolution screen. If the large photo doesn't fit on your screen, use the smaller one.
1st Method :
- Choose either larger or smaller photo size, and click the appropriate link.
- The photo will open in a new window. Right-Click the Photo.
- Choose 'Set As Background'.
- Choose 'Center' or 'Tile' if those options are presented.
- The Photo should now be your Desktop Background.
If the photo is distorted...
Next:
- Right-Click your Desktop. Select 'Properties'.
- Click the 'Desktop' Tab.
- Set the 'Position' Setting to either 'Center' or 'Tile'.
The stretch setting probably will not work well. (Because there are so many screen sizes/resolutions, I do not even attempt to create desktops that will fit a monitor in a stretch setting.)
- Click 'Apply'.
Finally:
- To find the photo on your computer, make sure the photo file is still highlighted in 'Desktop'. (It's name is probably something like 'Internet Explorer Wallpaper'.) Click the 'Browse' button, and the photo's folder will be displayed.
- You need to rename the file if you want to save the Desktop -- or else, the next time you set an Internet Explorer Photo as background, the previous photo will be replaced. Right-Click the file and choose 'Rename'.
- I suggest Copying and Pasting the .jpg file name shown under the photo as the new file name.
- After renaming a file, Click it or select 'Open' to bring the newly renamed file into the 'Desktop' Tab. (Then, again choose 'Center' or 'Tile' if the photo is in the distorted 'Stretch' position.)
2nd Method:
Another way to set a desktop background is to right-click on the photo, and save it to your computer (rename it before clicking 'Save'). Then locate it on your computer, right-click and 'Set as Background'.

Mobile Downloads for your Phone
- Desktops with mobile options are labelled under the thumbnail photos. Not all desktops are sized for mobile downloads. If your favorite desktop photo is not sized for mobile downloads, send us the name of the photo and the dimensions for your phone, and we will add it.
- Once you find the mobile desktop photo you want to download, choose the correct size for your phone and click on it. If your phone size is not listed, contact us and we will add the dimensions to our list.
- The photo will open in a new window. Right-click and save it to your computer, or download it directly to your phone if you have that capability.
- Ways to transfer the mobile wallpaper to your phone from your computer:
-Connect your phone to the computer and transfer it directly;
-Attach the photo to an email and email it to your phone (if you can receive attachments);
- Send it as a text message attachment from one phone to another (if you can receive attachments).
